Our Mission

Dream Makers is dedicated to the concept of inclusion, choice and person-centered services that promote awareness of and respect for cross and inter-cultural diversity.  We are committed to provide skilled, quality behavioral and clinical healthcare reflected in best practices which focus on integrity, growth, excellence and meeting the unique needs of all citizens, cultures, genders and ages.

Our Vision

Dream Maker’s vision and goal is to support families and friends, while our individuals strive to recover by using current, effective treatments which gender positive outcomes.

The primary purpose of the North Carolina CAP-MR/DD program is to provide individuals a cost-effective alternative to institutional care. This is done by providing a wide array of services to support the individual in the community, from employment training to in-home services for someone with a developmental disability.

An Individual Support Plan (ISP) is developed by the consumer, guardian/legally responsible person, Care Coordinator and other team members, including the Qualified Professional from Dream Makers. The Care Coordinator obtains authorization for the types of services provided, the specific interventions to be used, and the number of hours each service is provided. Dream Makers employees provide a complete range of home and community-based services.  Monitoring of services is reviewed by CARF, the State of North Carolina, Center Point Human Services, Cardinal Innovations Healthcare Solutions and the Department of Social Services.
